Yardi Kube Prospect Portal rebuilt for faster flexible workspace booking

Key takeaways

  • The Yardi Kube Prospect Portal has been rebuilt in React, making it faster for coworking prospects to browse, book and buy memberships and putting operators’ locations in front of search engines for the first time.
  • Operators can now add public amenity descriptions, a feature requested by clients.
  • The new portal is live for an initial group of operators, with remaining clients moving over in the next few weeks.

What is the Yardi Kube Prospect Portal?

The Yardi Kube Prospect Portal is the public-facing booking and eCommerce site that flexible workspace operators use to sell memberships, meeting rooms and workspace bookings to new customers. Prospects use the portal to compare locations, review building details and complete purchases online.

Yardi Kube is Yardi’s coworking and flexible workspace management software. The Prospect Portal connects directly to Yardi Kube, so bookings and memberships sold online flow into the operator’s existing operations.

Why Yardi rebuilt the Prospect Portal in React

The original Prospect Portal ran as a single-page Angular application, which limited how fast pages could load and kept search engines from indexing the portal at all. Rather than work around that architecture, Yardi rebuilt the Prospect Portal from the ground up in React, with Next.js handling server-side rendering.

The new portal loads faster, can be found through search and gives prospects a simpler path from browsing to booking. An improved location picker and richer building pages with images, amenities and location details help prospects choose a space before they book. Operators with multiple sites also get pages that make each location stand out.

The rebuild also changes three other areas of the portal.

Simplified eCommerce

Booking and membership purchase flows now require fewer steps. All purchases move through a single consolidated checkout, so prospects complete transactions in one place instead of navigating separate flows.

Shorter purchase paths reduce drop-off points for prospects who are ready to buy.

Guest checkout with email verification

Prospects can complete a booking using guest checkout, which requires email verification only. Guest checkout removes the need to create an account before a first purchase.

Guest checkout benefits first-time visitors, such as someone booking a single meeting room or day pass, who may not want to register before trying a space.

Faster pages and locations that show up in search

Next.js renders each page on the server before it reaches the browser. Prospects see content sooner, and search engines receive complete pages they can read. Together with new APIs, server-side rendering makes the portal faster from the first click.

For operators, the bigger change is visibility. Before the rebuild, a prospect searching Google for coworking space nearby would never land on an operator’s Prospect Portal page. Now location and building pages can appear in those results, making the portal a way for new prospects to find a space, not just a place to book one.

Configurable amenity descriptions in Yardi Kube

Based on client feedback, Yardi Kube now supports configurable public descriptions for amenities. Operators can add descriptions in the Operator Portal, even before their account switches to the new Prospect Portal, and prospects see them when browsing Memberships.

Clear amenity descriptions give prospects more context about what each amenity includes, helping them compare membership options and understand the value of each plan before purchase.

Rollout timeline for the new Prospect Portal

The new Prospect Portal experience is live for an initial group of operators as part of the first production rollout. Yardi plans to roll out the new experience to remaining Yardi Kube clients in bulk over the next few weeks.
